The “Homland Defender” has been seen only a few times, at widely scattered locations throughout the USA. His first appearance was in Seattle in 2003, corrisponding with the start of the invasion of Iraq, and the protest thereof. He appears at anti war demonstrations in a face concealing red, white, and blue costume. He has each time confronted the protesters, heckeling them and agitating them until they come to blows. When inevitably asked who he thinks he is, he answers “The Homeland Defender”. After barehanded pummeling one or more people into hospitalization, “The Defender” runs away. Victims and witnesses claim “The Homeland Defender” uses a lot of military jargon, is very muscular, and is obvioulsy a very competent hand to hand combatant. The only weapon “The Homeland Defender” has ever been seen using is a smoke canister launcher, firing red, white, and blue smoke into a crowd of war protesters. His rhetoric always includes challenging a protesters patriotism, and referencing President Bush’s call to defend America from terrorists. It can be easily deduced that this man is of a military background, possibly someone who was discharged for psychological reasons. Homeland Defender probably learns of planned protests that are announced on the internet, and makes travel arrangements accordingly. Homeland Defenders’ base of opperations is unknown, but witnesses claim he speaks with a slight Southern drawl. Having seriously hospitalized 18 people, and inflicted minor injures (treated at the scene and released) in the last 6 years he is considered dangerous. Homland Defender’s last apperance was in Febuary 2008, he was subdued, but escaped apprehension. It is unknown how the change of administration will affect his activities.
